Brazilian Smoothies

Smoothies originated in Brazil in the 1930s.

The smoothie is a blended & sometimes sweetened

beverage made from fresh fruit & in some cases can c

ontain chocolate or peanut butter. In addition to the

fruit, many include crushed ice, frozen yoghurt &

honey. They have a milkshake-like consistency

containing milk, yoghurt or ice-cream.
